I remember some time ago there was a thread on here about lyrics to songs you misunderstood and sang incorrectly. Well, for anyone who ever wondered what the hell Joe Cocker was singing at Woodstock, that great mystery has been solved:

Perfect!
It does make so much more sense now.
Also, I might have cried a little.
!
HA!
My favorites:
"Somebody’s Dad! Someboday’s Dad is waving right out there now!"
"Hey hen! I’m gonna pat all the eggs."
The very first time I ever
The very first time I ever heard Chubby Checker sing "The Twist", I could have sworn he said "come on little bitch and do the twist". What he was really saying is "come on little miss and do the twist". Ah those 11 year old ears I had back then.
DRAT!!!
I just heard something the other day and realized that I had always thought it was something else…I can’t for the life of me remember it, it is going to drive me crazy!!
oh YEahhh
It was that song called “DAMN! It’s Gon’ Ta Drive Me Cra-zee”.
So, is Stevie singin’, “I rock, I ran” instead of “Iraq, Iran”, on “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing”?
When I was a kid I always
When I was a kid I always thought it was Iraq, Iran. Wait a minute he is talking about languages so maybe he was saying Iraq, Iran, some people pronounce those countries as Irock I ran. Then again I dont know.
Stevie says,
" ‘Cause like I been to, y’know, Paris, Peru, y’know, I mean, uh, Iraq, Iran, Eurasia… y’know I speak very, very, um fluent Spanish — ‘Todo ‘sta bien, chévere’ — you got that? "
And Alan Jackson says
"I’m just a singer of simple songs
I’m not a real political man
I watch CNN but I’m not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran"
God I am SO sick of Herb playing that album every time I visit! And all those Lee Greenwood CDs…Sheesh!
Yeah, no shit Tree. This
Yeah, no shit Tree. This past weekend, Herb with his Charlie Rich haircut kept singing the praises of Big’n’Rich, Tanya Tucker and and that dipshit from Comstock who’s trying to make it big in Nashville. What’s up with that?
Whoooaaa... Droppin the
Whoooaaa… Droppin the Tanya Tucker knowledge. Been a while since I got my groove on to some TNT.
Yeah. What is it with Herb and his pop country fascination? Crikes.. I mean I like Kenney Chesney as much as the next Arab hating American. But the posters, the scrap book, and the personalized license plate are a bit much.
Harvesting for Dummies
good grief! I JUST realized that the line is so long since you really seemed alive I always thought it was so long since you really seen the light
I apologize to Tree - who by the way I think is one of the best song writers EVAH!!!
D'oh! Duh!
Me too. And of course it’s better with the correct lyrics. Sorry, Tree!
