The article gave their role on "Hee Haw" short shrift - they were a music act more than (instead of!) a comedy duo. I always thought their job on the show was to do some hit song by an artist who wasn't willing to wallow in gloom, despair, and agony alongside Archie, Grandpa, and... who was the other regular on the dirt? reply quote
