I understand that HBO is doing a movie that airs this month about the first vice president and the second president John Adams. For you folks who have cable, anybody know anything about this??
It sounds very fasinating.

I love it!
I've watched the first 2 installments, and I've really been blown away. I love this show. It looks amazing, it sounds amazing, and assuming accuracy, I've learned a lot. Learned not only about John Adams and his role in American history, but about the times. Ever wondered how people got vaccinated before hollow needles were readily available? Ever seen rope being made? How about a real good look at a tar & feathering job? Paul Giamatti has been one of my favorite actors ever since he played "Pig Vomit" in Howard Stern's "Private Parts." As John Adams, he makes the flowery speech of the day seem elegant, not corny. He makes me kind of proud, but I can't really explain that. I'm proud of people when they do good, even if I personally have no stake in their success. Guess that's why I tear up when I hear cheering and applause. This mini series deserves both.
