Polaroid will halt production…. http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/200… This makes me very, very, very sad……. What on earth is William Wegman going to do? His stuff is all shot on huge-format polaroid!

This does suck.  They are going to keep making it through the end of next year (so they say) so maybe now is a good time to get some Polaroid projects done.

Another sad story of

Another sad story of corporate America.  Polaroid was purchased by a hedge fund in 2001, after the executives divvied up the assets and shut down real operations their ‘corporate strategy’ has been to slap the Polaroid brand on all kinds of crap (batteries, etc.) and to ignore what made Polaroid great in the first place.
