The Unbearable Whiteness of Shauna

Nathan's picture

Submitted by Nathan on Mon, 07/03/2006 - 2:31pm.

Just back to the room. Served a couple of Newcastles by some Britney Spears lookalike named Shauna. So much to tell. Really.

Happy and hurting. I drank tequila with Little Steven and the rest of the folks at a huge dinner party after the show. Emboldened by the liquid, I rode a mechanical bull. I did pretty well for a novice, but fell off and fucked up my right wrist pretty bad. All swollen and immobile. Finding drugs sooon. The show must go on!

Please enjoy a few random photos.

More on this later.

I miss you guys.

Gotta go soundcheck. See you soon.

Okay, so this is actually more like a response diary. Here’s A story for all the former M*ssias’ regulars, including my boys on the road: Went to the Felpausch on North Westnedge today after work, and who’s walking out when i’m walking in? Why, Mr. Mack, looking slightly less tricked-out dap than he used to, yet somehow looking YOUNGER. He was so happy to see me that he gave me a big hug, said he never sees anybody from the old hangout anymore…he hasn’t been out much lately. He’s TRAVELLING too much. Retired. Gone fishing. SERIOUSLY. Hence the slightly relaxed wardrobe (the Stetson was replaced with, well, you know, a fishing cap….like, mesh-n-foam. That’s pure country. That’s straight from the Georgia woods. THAT’S GOOOOOD!). He was fresh back from visiting his son in Arizona. Although he’s switched to T-shirt and jeans for daily wear, I start noticing that there’s a snap-crease in the jeans and his t-shirt looks IRONED. No duh. He’s still looking out for his sartorial splendor. “Still with your better half, darlin’?” he asks. I affirm that we’re intact and happy and he wanted me to be sure to say hello to that old husband of mine. So there you have it. Greetings Old Skooly.

I know Maltese doesn't tuck because he's self-conscious of his, uh, figure. I wanna know where FRED got the rockin' turquoise stripes.
