My lady is ranting — literally on a rampage — about the WIDR t-shirt she got for her donation. She needs a drink. Maybe someone needs to invite her to do somthing today, to get her out of the house.
Look, I’m sure someone had REALLY good intentions and A LOT of sincere intent when they decided it would be a good idea to print this year’s WIDR shirt in-house, but, really, if you don’t know how to screen print, the final product ends up looking like a piece of amateurish crap.I just don’t think the public image of a station I love should look like they turned over the promotions department to a middle school summer camp.Sometimes the greenest alternative is just not to make the thing at all. They can have this shirt back – I wouldn’t wear this hot mess to represent the station on a bet.AND, to add insult to this injury, where’s the goddamn cocktail glass I said I wanted?!?Speaking of cocktails – can we go get some now or what?
Haven’t seen Sid & Nancy since it was in the theater - totally forgot that scene, and love it, thanks Angie! Someone has to cover it, or has covered it.
Not so sure if “the incident” was made up or not, since leaders from the gay community brought it up in a presentation to our staff just last fall. At this point I figure it’s like the moon landing or Stu Sutcliffe’s ability to play bass - we’ll never really know.
Not knowing wouldn’t stop us 3 from coming out if CG is up for it - she’s on after-work errands since I’m off and hanging with the half-day kid (we just got back from the great outdoors), so I don’t know how she’ll be doin’ when she gets home. That’s a definite maybe!
Can’t wait for my WIDR shirt! I still have to submit the donation, tho’…
We never got our glass last year either! WTF, WIDR?! HUH! (cyber shove)
Angie, thank you for the Sid-n-Nancy clip. That song used to get sung on a really regular basis at the Ann Arbor blue house that I lived in. One that satisfieeesssss…..my artistic needs.
Yeah.
Wut up. I’m over-worked, and my lady has the day off. That ain’t right.
Damn WIDR T-Shirt!

Eat out, outside.
It’s warm. Is there a place where we can eat outside? Dairy Queen?
But...
Don’t you want to take advantage of the last smokey day inside?
Smoke Up
We could go to Corner Bar and smoke. Or not.
Well...
I like the idea of eating outside.
However, there’s a small chance (5%?) that my family’s monoautomobilic status will force me to drive home right after work. Probably not though.
The Roadhouse has outside seating, as does Harvey’s, Bell’s, and Shakespeare’s.
Who am I leaving out?
Lewey's
The Taxidermy Tavern has outdoor seating.
Watermelon Eyebrows, also.
Gallagrrrrr’s also has that spacious pay-sheeo.
And, HALF DAY! I can take Jules out for a round or three.
Shakes....
We haven’t eaten there since the unfortunate incident.
Or Leweys — how their foods now?
My lady.
Stormed off to Target; said she’d avoid WIDR studios. I just picture some 20-year-old defending her creativity, but crying at the end.
now i am dying of curiosity!
What’s up with the SHIRT?!
GOD!
That shirt! The kids were being creative, maybe “urban” or “funky” or “punky,” but it just looks like INCOMPETENCE!!
MUST HAVE SCAN.
Give us some shirt!
Also, what was the Incident?
"punky"

And, food.
For the first paragraph, mostly.

Shakes the Incident
Remember how we heard a guy was thrown out, and called bad words, and it was later found the guy had made it all up…?
Shakespears is probably all right.
Driving kids around
Shakes it up!
Just heard from Herb. He my be a little late, but digs the Shakespeare’s suggestion.
Can we call it?
How can we NOT call it?
Herb is the word.
Sure, whatever.
My dad does love Shakespeare’s, and wondered why we never go there. Just FYI.
And Herb’s on his way home? Damn, I’d better clean up my “living single” mess from the last couple days fast!
Late blooming
Four o’ us will be there post practice… 18:30-ish.
Don’t forget KAR tomorrow!!!!
Just keepin' it real!
