I had a job interview with the department of social services for Bunc*mbe county, NC today. It went swimmingly, and we have to stick around for a callback interview. Keep your fingers crossed, even though it means much tearful separation if I get it.

It was quite sudden. They called last Friday (?) to see if I could be here this Thursday for the interview, so we had to get our asses in gear, pack a few things, and hustle down.
Now we are in the middle of a winter storm warning. WTF?! This ain’t Michigan, CONSARNIT!!

due to the heinous snowstorm, they now want to reschedule second interviews for the first week of January. SO! We’ll be home and then coming back. Back and forth. That’s what she said.
