First off this is a serious topic so please please only serious responses please.

Over the years I have gathered knowledge on music, history and pop culture.  I was thinking lately that I would like to do someting with it, instead of have it all just sit here.  Over the years yall have done stuff from writing to playing in band, and working in record stores and the like, and what can I say yall inspire me and I want to do something too.

Does anybody have any suggestion on what I should do

Any help would be much appreciated

Thank You

Ask not “what should I do?” Ask “what do I want to do?”Your question is bordering on silly, it’s so general and you sound like you haven’t really thought about it yourself. So why ask other people to think about it if you haven’t bothered? If you have thought about it, what were some of your ideas?

trust me, in this economy, knowledge of obscure 60s garage rock and whitebread tv shows ain’t going to add up to more than a prolonged stay in either a refrigerator box under a bridge, or you’ll end up as a fluffer in some Tom of Finland biopic.
maybe rethink your interests? instead of accumulating worthless trivial knowledge that does nothing for anyone, why not think of how you can can contribute to society as a whole? that’s how it usually works for people, you know? learn something new and learn how to help out the world, and THEN in your spare time accumulate mindless trivia. It seems like you did it all backwards.

Oh, but can’t that be said for almost everyone here, and lots of other people? And some of us actually turned out OK. Like, “have their own office with a door” OK. Or “at 30, going back to school full-time for what they now love” OK. Not me, of course, although I have turned “doing it all backwards” (Tree, your joke goes here) into a skill set unto itself.

As for you, Samantha, I recommend getting an English degree. Just a simple bachelor’s degree will do. With that, whether you’re working at a factory or a record store or the Green Top or not at all, you’ll at least always have a vague, nagging sense that you might someday find a way to be appreciated — or at least paid! — for what’s in your noggin.
