Hey all - just a heads up - anyone out and about for dinner tomorrow night is welcome to stop by ours afterwards for some early birthday cake for my beautiful CG, who celebrates the actual date this coming Sunday.

Dinner!  Dinner!  Dinner! I like food. I will be somewhat obligated to hang around my place of work, as we have suddenly become an art hop spot—one time only, or ongoing I do not know—it is a show of work by relatives of a co-worker.  I might hop to Kingscott and peep some interesting-looking stuff (or at least it looked interesting in the thumbnail) but yessss.  And I have a special something for Candygirl.  It’s called advice:  “DON”T GO OUT WITH BOBBY BROWN!”

he promised he would change…*in response to Dingey’s advice*   I am thinking I want to check out somthing art hoppy, since I never have the opportunity.  I haven’t decided what yet.  Does that mean dinner downtown some where would be best?  I am easy peasy - whatever works best for others works best for me!  that’s how I roll.

It’s super-party day, ‘tis true! We should go somewhere downtown - I wouldn’t mind checking out a few Art Hops, there’s a hot DJ at Eccentric Day and cake.

Plus, I will be starting extra early with the celebration by birthday lunching with a 21-year old. Yep, Metalina is 21 today. It’s kind of terrifying on 3 layers of cake.
  1. I remember when she was like 1 year old and I wasn’t invited to the party.
  2. I remember what I was doing when I was 21, and it kind of makes me sad
  3. If anyone tries to make her do 21 shots, I will personally kill them.

Also, the bulleting and numbering works. All future posts will involve them.

Holiday Hop + Ex-centric day = really crazy downtown.

If there is anywhere in particular downtowny where I might be able to call ahead, please offer suggestion early and I’ll see what I can do to reserve/ call ahead/ whatever can be arranged.

I’ll likely miss out on Ex-centric because I don’t have a hat. It’s a drag, since I dig the DJ, who’ll be making a killing in more ways than one tonight, I understand.

My reasons:

1. I bought you no bourbon for your birthday last year.

2. Ditto, this year.

3. I may have promised to do so which makes me quite lame.

4. Bourbon belongs to us all.

Those things being said.. I will gladly share a snort with you and make more hollow promises.

I may come to dinner. Will definitely join in the celebration of all things Cinammon and Girly.

But it is an option. The place I was alluding to is the one that is quiet (that’s a plus) but is slow and food is not always up to par (a minus).

Can we not eat at m*tro?  Last time we ate there, I wound up….let’s just say, quite ill in the night.  Double-barrelled.  I blame the vodka slaw?  Or tainted meats. 

Roadhouse or Harvey’s would be fine with me. I agree that OP would probably be toooooooo crazy. 

If only Louie’s werent’ SO “dead.”  The polar beear just gets me down.

Art Hop-related: Rita will be showing some of her mad photo skillz at that Sanka Yoga place in that one big building. I’m ready to tell these kids that reading is for foolz then blow outta here for some wild-n-crazy guise and eccentrically alcoholic juniper beers. Maybe me and Dadmin can stop by on our way home from work. That is a capital idea! NO ONE else will be doing that — certainly not at 4:30 p.m.! I don’t know if the fetusi will be joining us for nosh tonight — they been liking their sketchy alone time lately. …

Curious your reaction to Metro, Ding. I had similar blurtings post CB a couple of weeks ago. Felt fine going to bed, wracked by nausea around 3am, expelled my dinner, went back to bed, felt great the next day, had a pastie at People’s Church bazaar at 10am.

I’d like to eat out. I’ll go where we go.

Vomit Talk!

Usually everyone is talking about food, and getting hungry, this time in this discussion. Thanks for talking about vomit so we’ll stay unappetized until hours from now. 

I find I can eat anything, and if it gives me problems, it’s usually just horrific poop problems. Not always “horrific,” I don’t want you imagining the worst visuals you can think of…

Last time I remember puking after eating something (not drinking too much of something) was when I was 14. Maybe younger. “Mork and Mindy” was on. I ate mom’s buckwheat pancakes, the first time she made them. And after a few hours I was projectiling. Funny thing is, the same happened after I ate Buc-Wheats a few years before that. I will not eat any buckwheat products ever again.

I have a feeling birthday girl isn’t going to be fussy about where to eat, as long as she gets to. Iron-guts here isn’t fussy either. I’m on a public service desk now, so if the choice leans towards a place where a call-ahead might be in order, let’s choose, and I’ll try to find a moment to make the call, unless some other kind soul here is willing to do so. If the choice leans towards “come anytime” (ah, the Hoodoo Gurus), name it and we’ll come.

CG is blessed AND cursed with what may be the most popular name in song titles, other than Jesus and Baby. New Edition and Swervedriver, good, Marvin Sease and Montrose, not so good. My fave is sung in a ridiculously high register, with a super-silly basso profundo moment right before the modulation into the final verse. Can you guess?

I am coming down from it as we speak!  Not only do I have to stop and pick up a cake, I have a whole cake to bring home from Continental (gifted by my 4th block)- if you’re not from BC that doesn’t mean a thing - if you are you know how fabulous that is.

I am NOT picky about eats, Harvey’s is fine with me.

When we have called them about calling ahead, they said we don’t really need to, because they are very much NOT busy at 6 p.m. so we should just show up and there would be room for us. And there was. I too am hoping to get the cabin again. Makes me want to pee outside!

Blah! I just got home, trying to change my work clothes into something that could become eccentric later (much later…).
