Bottom of the 9th... the count on McCain is 0-2

Anybody wanna come over to our house and watch a couple of fellers dance delicately around their utter contempt for each other?

I gotta decide between Proj. Run. and the Debate, first, then decide which parent would stay here and which would go.

Sorry we don’t have "picture in picture". That could make for some really swell compares and contrasts.

It’s spooky how much the Penguin’s tactics match McCain/Palin.

I’m watching our recording of the debate now, and it feels like I’m watching Obama win the whole shebang. McCain just sucks at this.

McCain is the legendary, long tenured, well respected professor who is past his prime. Obama is the young, up and coming graduate student who probably knows more than the professor and is trying hard not to appear presumptious when he calls the old man out on his bunglings and garbling of facts. The old timer knows he’s been got, and is seriously bugged by it.

One pundit said that 2/3 of the public feels that McCain cannot contol his temper and last night he tried to convince the other 1/3.

what next?

One about this debate that I love: The McFailin’ fanatics insist that he won. (again, check Drudge for his hilarious "poll".) Hearing people call in to C-Span this morning in support of McFailin’, I would have assumed that Obama was losing by a landslide! Thankfully, we have those trustworthy polls to say otherwise, right?

So, my big question is: Obama beat the Ayers rap last night (IMHO), so what will McCain drop next? Clearly, he’s uncomfortable with some of the muck he’s stirring up ("kill him!"), as it really does go against his character. But, Palin ain’t beneath slinging more unfounded muck. Things will indeed get weirder in the next three weeks. Things sadly could start to swing to the right… if the nutcases aren’t kept in check.

Let them. The more rabid they get, the more uneasy moderates and leaners and fence-sitters will get.

Was talking with my brother a couple of days ago, he brought up the election. I usually avoid this topic when he’s around. He thinks Ted Nugent would be a great president. He asked me if I was really going to vote for Obama. I said yes, "twice if they’ll let me."

I assumed I was going to get an earful of McCain/Palin, but instead, he said that although he doesn’t like Obama, he can’t stand McCain either. I asked why, and he said something like;

"I know he was a prisoner and tortured and all that, but when he talks, you see how he holds his arms? Like a puppet? Looks like someone’s pulling his strings. If he already looks that much like a puppet, just imagine what it’ll be like when he’s in office and people really are pulling his strings!"

Then he said "I’m seriously thinking about writing in Ted Nugent." and asked "Can you do that?"

I told him that not only could he do that, but that he should do that. I assured him that he won’t be the only one, especially in Michigan.

It’s not a vote for my candidate, but it’s not a vote for his rival, either. The logic is weak, but I’ll take it.
