I just read the speech Obama gave in Ohio this afternoon (will be sure to watch it later, definitely!), in which he addresses the "increasingly unhinged tone at McCain-Palin rallies of late." I also just read some very recent news stories, blogs, online columns, etc. regarding the ugly path the McCain-Palin trolley is headed down. Interesting stuff, and very good to see this subject being addressed, being taken seriously by people of all parties, and most important being called out for the disgusting, embarrassing, totally inexcusable hate rallying that it is. Fucking assholes, man.
I’m certainly no supporter, but I really didn’t expect McCain’s campaign to implode quite like this. Reports of the lynch mob reactions are all over the wire. For many, Republicans now appear to be the dumbest, most racist, most paranoid, and most dangerous members of American society. A few must have been hanging on to the party, still believing in its ideology of fiscal conservatism (obviously blown out of the water on W.’s watch) and no other reason, but how can they hold their heads up associating with hate-mongrels such as those found in the bloggerinterrupted clips and at the recent rallies? Is it possible we’re witnessing the death throes of the Republican party?
From an AP article on the Davenport rally:
Unhelpful for establishing the tone McCain sought in Davenport was the Rev. Arnold Conrad, past pastor of the Grace Evangelical Free Church. His prayer before McCain arrived at the convention center blocks from the Mississippi River appeared to dismiss faiths other than Christianity and cast the election as a referendum on God himself.
“I would also pray, Lord, that your reputation is involved in all that happens between now and November, because there are millions of people around this world praying to their god — whether it’s Hindu, Buddha, Allah — that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons,” Conrad said.
“And Lord, I pray that you would guard your own reputation, because they’re going to think that their god is bigger than you, if that happens. So I pray that you will step forward and honor your own name with all that happens between now and Election Day,” he said.

it’s like Heavy Metal Parking Lot, but even MORE cringe-inducing.
I haven't watched it.
I know what’s in these clips, but I don’t watch them for the same reason I don’t watch "Two Girls, One Cup." It’s about the same thing, I think.

Two Girls, One Cup shows way more depth, meaning, and even hope in the Human Condition than the McCain Mob clip does.
I’ve read this called
I’ve read this called McCain Parking Lot on 2 different message boards today. Huzzah for the yokel meme!
"refuse his questions unless he offers them in writing to you". I would hand them the secret Post-It note scribbles from Jackie Treehorn.
McCain Attempts To Chill Out The Lynch Mob
This is pretty amusing:
McCain's new "worst mistake of my life"
