ive been searching for years for the vanity 6 lp….my nasty girl 45 is getting beat up….i’d heard throughout the years what an amazing lp it truly is….a buddy of mine from work who could care less about vanity 6 , gave me a copy….this is by far my favorite record these days…82…music by the time….whifs of prince throughout…..damn….track yourselves down a copy

I’m sure there are whiffs of prince all over it, since he was bagging at least one of them! HAW! I think their stuff was all pretty much prince with girl hand-puppets to do the singing, right? I’m not knocking it, mind you. I totally love that freaky little midget. His performance at the super bowl made me cry. FOR REAL!

Speaking of 6s, Dadmin and I watched maybe the last half of "Purple Rain" on some cable channel last weekend, and Dadmin was expounding excitedly on Wendy’s thoughts when Prince kisses her cheek on stage and she gets that "EW, get away, freak!" look on her face. It was ALL OVER by the time Dadmin got to calling Prince "that dirty, bad, tiny man!"
Oh, dang. I lost all muscle control from laughing.
Graffiti Bridge
I remember when the Graffiti Bridge movie came out, Ulric Dihle who was the biggest Prince fan in the world, went and saw it on opening day. He was so sad when he returned. Even after being disappointed by the Purple Rain and Under the Cherry Moon films, he just could not understand how someone who was so obviously brilliant could make a movie so incredibly shitty…
I’ll always remember the hilariously heartbroken look on his face.
