Just because it’s the first CD I popped in today and it made me laugh:

"MIDDLE OF THE ROAD" by the pretenders

The middle of the road

Is trying to find me.

I’m standing in the middle of life

With my pants behind me.

I’ve got a smile

For everyone I meet….

I may have mentioned this one afore.

Still my all time favorite.

Ms. Jass heard: "dirty deeds, and they’re done dirt cheap" as

"girls kneel down, I’m the jungle chief"

When I first heard the wonderful song "Tell Him" by The Exciters, I thought the line "One kiss to prove it" was  "want kids to prove it" as in make a baby, which would be kinda racy for 1963.

By the way Tree, if you are reading I saw MickeyMac recently and he cant thank you enough for that Exciters LP.

i was recently playing this song for a friend of mine totally unfamiliar with Morrissey/the Smiths. She remarked, “Gee, that singer sounds kinda…well…GAY.” I said, “Yeah, well…that’s something of an understatement.” Then she says, “Is he singing he’s the last of the flamers?!”

as an aside, I usually only make it through that song by accident, zone out to the point that I forget to  change it.

Yall know the song "Love or Let Me Be Lonely" by the Friends of Distinction?

For years I always thought this tune was "Oh Lord Dont Let Me Be Lonely", unti I got that 70’s soul boxed set.
