What’s this song from? It came up on Shuffle this morning, and I’m guessing I got it from mp3.com back in the day. It’s great. Any song that starts out with "How long has it been since my eyes were in my forehead and my brain was shrunk to a third of its size?" and then goes on to mention Orange Julius is pretty fucking great.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Vinyl
God damn it. I knew I should’ve kept my records…
Any digital versions of that album floating around?
Both King Tammy albums.

kramer sucks.
haw haw!
a song for pittsburgh
as one who was there…’recession of the jaw’ was originally titled ‘a song for pittsburgh: glow sweet furnace and blacken the skies with your blessed industry’ it was a racist/environmental/philosophical rant about the industrial revolution and the effects of modernization on first world psyches…
basically people who lived in caves didn’t have to worry about emotional problems, go to therapy, wonder if they were crazy or not…there is no time for such indulgences when you’re a hunter gatherer. industry and the comforts it has afforded us…like this here message board…has slowly driven us all into madness…the madness is glorious and is defined in the instrumental section that closes the song…beautiful, chaotic, and yet somehow………orderly, much like a rummage sale, much like a sweet lingering, lustful kiss, much like john barneveld’s drum fills. children of the damned and ill indeed.
it was all kramer…it was all his idea.
those amrep guys and their halo of flies didn’t do much…plus the new guy really sucked. and minneapolis wasn’t nearly as fun as demerest new jersey.
the best King Tammy stuff is the unreleased ‘Gary’s Trusty Pelican Friend’ ep.
...and I believe you, too
