Go to “Manage your account,” then to “edit,” then down to “TinyMCE rich-text settings”… click on that, set to “True” if you want them, “False” if you don’t.

Doesn’t matter a tinker’s cuss which way i set that fucker, “true” / “false” whatever, i still get this: Safari support is very limited and should be considered experimental. So there is no need to even submit bugreports on this early version. You can disable this message by setting: safari_warning option to fals …and even when i don’t use Safari, i still get the damned popup.

The pain about web design/web use is that Safari will get you one thing, IE on Windows another, IE on Mac something else, and Opera, Firefox, Linux, etc. various other things. If you’re using something older on an old machine, then you’ll get all sorts of crap. I’m using Firefox on a 2004 eMac, which seems fine. I disable the rich text on this site through the “manage your account” hooha, and then I can use good old fashioned HTML which allows me to make my text as rich as I want it.

Of course!  I had it set up this way before, but I lost the rich-text settings on both work and home computers at the same time, so thought something else was affected sitewise, since we used to have the rich-text able/disable option below the comment box when posting and that disappeared - thanks for reminding me of account management, CN.

i liked it better the way it used to be. That was the Rich-Text Enabled as default, but you could turn it off at the bottom of the window that you post the comment in. Now I get no line breaks because my suckass cannot remember my html so goodly.

I will change the settings. Give y'all some more options. I am able to click on a link below what I'm typing that says "Input Format." I can then change things there.

To make a nice line break:

Take that pointy thingy that points to the left, you’ll find it above the comma (,), put down a p (for paragraph), and follow that with the other pointy thingy that points to the right, you’ll find it under the period (.).
