It’s been a long hiatus, but the Leppotone post-Thanksgiving party is back! The following telegram from recently-repatriated Leppotone CEO, Col. D.K.“Wade” Leppo reached my desk last week:

So, with Leppotone Karaoke Overdrive Orchestra back in business, we’re gonna be putting on a show, like olden tymes.

Just in case some of you have no idea what I’m talking about, this is a live karaoke show, where you sing songs with a band. Google “leppotone karaoke overdrive” and revel in the amount of information on past LKO events.

Due to crazy schedules, we will be doing this one like the first three: no requests in advance of the show. Just show up, tell us what you want to sing and sing that song.

Can’t wait to see you all there! Will add more details as I make them up.

…there will be some rehearsal, right?  Boy ain’t played them drums in some time now.  Yep…soooome time, sir! A tich of woodshedding could be ‘preciated, or at least some bangin’ around in somebody’s basement.  (Not a euphemism. ) The Sextons are planning on having Friday and Saturday free for just such pre-show extravagance.  I’d offer our old basement, but that house is rented and that dog don’t fight.

I’m thinking we want this Leppotone event to be a big ‘un, no? So should we start promoting it soon? Or is Dorbin handling that?

Facebook event and twoots! Postcards and doorhangers! Sunday newspaper supplements! Skywriting and bus stop signage! Town crier and parking ramp hieroglyphics! Handbills and wiper-stuffers!

I think the wolves should be garlanding the bison with tinsel or strings of popcorn for this event.  Just a thought.
