I had Tappus Interruptus Saturday, when me and my lady went there and found we couldn’t get a seat, so we went to Rode Hauwse. Oh, to think of the food I missed eating.
Which means “food replica”, of course. I am cool with any of the following: Roadhouse? OP? Harveys?? Tap Haus? All could be busy (is there still Rock of Ages at Miller?) Pick one!
Having recovered from illness this winter, I call anyone still sick a big baby. Whatever! There are things to eat! I wouldn’t mind a short hop. But downtown might be crazy town. Also I may not be welcome at the Mlive office after my incendiary post about the lack of Mary Worth in their new configuration. But all this is irrelevant. Where do YOU want to eat?
Saw Herb at the aging power-pop fan convention last night at Louie’s (great show, BTW), and mentioned CG and I might be able to get out for dinner tonight while Kap’n Jr. was at a playdate. Playdate’s cancelled due to illness, so we probably won’t be out after all… as usual, only difference being that I actually logged on to make note of it this time ‘round. Another time, then!
We have at least one chuck upping kid at home. So I am a maybe at best…. Though putting distance between myself and adolescent chetcher is attractive.
I will keep my eyes on the Leppo street. See what naughtiness you gigglers are gettin into later.
We shall. What’s Art Hopping downtown? I have the urge to press my nose against the new MLive/Gazzettee storefront window and look like a homeless person hungry for paper for my shoes. I heard something about a pinup contest with free rockabilly at Louies. Where’s my Betty Page wig? My tat?
I’m for the Amigos and checking out the new brewery once they get beyond ‘grand opening’. Although I could be persuaded to meet Tree there for a quick beer around 5 ish.
The mac and cheese is delish, but not a deal in any way, unless you get the beer that is exactly 4.50. I am cool with whatever, though. Downtown is always fun.
Tap three times on the ceiling if you want me.
Of all commond cold and flu viruses, the puking one is the one I hate the most. My sincere sympathies to all who have it/deal with it.
So. Tap?
Solo.
How many are we? WHERE IS TREE??? Is 5-alive with Cookie? Or Sexy 6 with Cookie Hew?
I am not currently sick. But if ostracizing me to the kids table at dinner makes everyone feel safer, I can abide.
As long as I get extry Kool Whip on my minced tarts.
Don’t want any puking germs. Keep sickos away from my GI trackt.

Last time I saw my mister vertical he was hurling into the kitchen sink. So I think we’re out.
I’m with Uncle Arthur: Food someplace!
Dress as Mary Worth’s and stage a sit-in.
I want to eat food. Someplace.
Mitt (and GF) can’t make it tonight, combination of GF’s pappa visiting and sinus infection of some sort. (but no chunder).
Sorry to hear about the sickness at home, Mr. Jass… definitely seems to be something going ‘round among the local tykes last couple of weeks.

It’s a well worn “Black Velvet” magazine advertisement combined with everything I hated about the movie, “Sideways.” And the beer was flat.

I’m all about the Friends.
They serve buena comida there.
By that I mean Los Amigos? They are fast, so we could get to the theatre on time. Sometimes they’re too fast.
We must attend a function downtown, but we can still eat.
I was hoping to get to this: http://www.kalamazoorestaurantweek.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15&Itemid=123 but maybe I’ll just take my lady to that tomorrow. The price for two would have to make some of you guys who don’t bring your ladies get paired up, and you would turn gay.
Sunset Blvd Brewing Co is opening today.
They’re on Portage Rd, just North of I-94. I think it’s the same spot where Brewsters used to be.
As for food, the owner says:
“It’ll be more upscale from normal pub grub but offers everything from seafood to burgers…”
I do not know, however, if they serve any alcohol other than the beer they make. That would probably be a dealbreaker for some of you.
I’ve tried to call, but so far no anwer.
