Really not calling this one "The Great Gig in the Sky"

Submitted by Nathan on Mon, 09/15/2008 - 7:59pm.

Just wanted to say, “Thank you,” to Mr. Richard Wright who died of cancer today. Thank you for “Us and Them,” one of those bits of music that’s guaranteed to put me in an open state, giving and actually paying attention.

Here’s a block quote of notes about his passing.

LONDON, England (AP) — Richard Wright, a founding member of the rock group Pink Floyd, died Monday.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2008 Live Bloggins

Submitted by Nathan on Mon, 03/10/2008 - 9:28pm.

Thought I would try this again. It was so much fun to do it for that dress-up-show. Late. Drunkyish. One and a half hours into the show, here I go. Maybe someone else can chime in on the first one and half hours. Please jump in and explain what I missed.

Gene Pitney R.I.P.

Submitted by Samantha Stephens on Wed, 04/05/2006 - 11:47am.

Gene Pitney was found dead in his London hotel room while there on a UK tour at age 65. Cause of death is not yet known. Pitney recorded a series of great records between 1961-1968 and he also wrote "Hello Mary Lou" and "He's A Rebel". Pitney also played on the Stones first album and was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2002(one of the few things that place has done right). I'll miss him
