Gary Gygax rolled a natural one today, dying at the age of 69. Here is a bit of the AP: obituary.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Gary Gygax, who co-created the fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons and helped start the role-playing phenomenon, died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva. He was 69.

The end of the year (any year) always breaks me up or makes me fall apart easily, as if I'm ready to vibrate apart from the rumbling of a bumpy road, ready to be born again all Phoenix-like in the new year.  This end-of-year is no exception.
